When is the best time to test? I had heard that 1 hour after the dinner meal was good! That is what I have been doing! I always register at least pink! The thing is I haven't lost any weight in 10 days nor do my clothes feel looser just the opposite they feel tighter! I am sticking to the 20 or less carbs a day! I guess I am just a turtle! I have lost 5 pounds the first 4 days just water weight I am sure!
Am I testing at the right time of day???

Everyone has their own preferred time to test. What I think is important is that you test at that time every time, so as not to confuse the issue. When I used to test I prefered first thing a.m. testing; before anything is eaten, that way I was sure I was registering ketones from body fat breakdown and not something I'd eaten.

Cheers,
Nat

Default I have to be doing something wrong

Today is my 17th day of induction I have not lost any weight or inches. At first Ithought I had lost 5 pounds but I had weighed in at different times of the day once and night for my first reading and then in the morning to see if I had lost I sure had.
So my clothes fit the same! I feel I have a little more energy. I am always in a foul mood! My food cravings are down! I have been in Ketosis since day 2 I even have reassured that by testing at different times of the day! I really don't want to stop the Atkins plan! I just wish I had something to show for it!
This is what I ate today!

Breakfast
Peperoni and Cheese

Lunch
1 1/2 cups of lettuce with Mayo and Ranch
3 bites of Pork

Snack
Real Pork Rinds (Chicarones)
2 bites of Think Thin bar (a twice a week thinG)

Dinner
Chicken Breast
1 1/2 cups of Salad with Mayo and Ranch

Deasert
Mock Danish (2oz. cream cheese, lemon juice, vanilla, 1 egg, 1 packet of splenda

This doesn't seem bad to me! What am I doing wrong?
Any opinions???
Help Please!

Have you run your meals through www.fitday.com ? It looks like you might not be getting enough calories. I'd also like to suggest adding more veggies like green beans, cauliflower, brocoli, asparagus, etc.

What is your dieting history? Are you on any medications? What (if any) types of exercise are you doing? How old are you?
