It can be a bit daunting to start measuring and portioning everything, but it does get easier as you go along. I (and many others here) use www.fitday.com to keep track of carbs/fat/protein intake. It's very useful, and I find it a LOT easier than writing everything down and adding myself. It also keeps record of all your entries, so you can look back and figure out trends in eating patterns, things you did wrong, things you did right, etc. You can do it
