Thumbs up Hi Everyone

Hello Everyone,
I have been a luker for nearly 18 months and I finally registered today. This is my second attempt at Low-Carb. This time I am in need of a lot of support.
I started on 2nd week of Nov '02. So for I have lost 10lbs. My starting weight was 335lbs. I want to around 150 to 140lbs. I hope to reach this goal this time , no matter what it takes.

Happy New Year

Cool

Hi there ToBe, welcome!

I'm very glad you "delurked."

Well done on the 10lbs, that's a great start, especially since you've done it through the holiday season.

In your lurking, have you looked at the orange bar at the top of the screen? There's a lot of great info there, especially "Low Carb Tips." I'd also suggest you check out "Hot Links" in the Newbies' Questions forum. Lots of previously asked questions along with some great answers.

All the best to you, matey, I hope we see more of you (or less )

Rosebud

ToBe,

Nice to meet you. I, too, am a Newbie and I understand what it means to need support. There is nothing worse than the "dogooders" who tell you that this one piece of chocolate won't hurt you. You are lucky, because you are a man and the weight will come off alot easier than me. My hips just DON'T want to LET GO!!! I would suggest that you start to do just a bit of walking, that really helps to get the metabolism moving! I am very proud of you, being the weight that you are. I pray everyday that my brother would at least try to get on the diet because even a 10 lb weight loss would be a help for him. He is resigned to being larger than life. I am so proud (I hope I don't sound condescending) please keep it up, if only for your family who loves you!!!

Rosebud,
Thank you for the welcome. When I was lurking here I read all the info in this site. It was /is really helpful . This is a great support site and I will check out the "Hot Links"

Smurfy,
Hi , does your name refer to the cartoon . I used to watch it all the time , the Smurfs were just cute.
By the way I am a woman. Thank you for the encouragement. I hope your brother will decide to do something about his weight .
