Talking Just Say No to SPUDS!!!

Last night I served the family some warmed up leftover roasted potatoes. I commented that giving up potatoes wasn't hard, I don't really care for them that much.

My husband surprised me when he said he wouldn't care if I never cooked them again.

The children said they didn't exactly love them but they'd still like to have them once in awhile though.

I can see that there will be a lot less potato peeling in my future!

Too cool, Amie! My kids were never big on potatoes and neither am I (bread is my great weakness!), but the DH was raised on them, so for him to give them up took some doing. Now that he hasn't had them for quite a while, he says he really doesn't miss them that much.

You just need to remind your family of their views on the now dud spud when they next put in their fast food order for french fries or reach for the packet of crisps.

I am like you Lisa. Bread is what I miss most. I could care less about Potatoes and Pasta.
