Hiya Pokey,

The bulk of your calories do need to come from fat. A ratio of approximately 70% fat, 25% protein and 5% carbs is good.

How do your Fitday percentages look, and how many grams of protein are you getting? According to the Drs Eades, the minimum amount of protein you need is 0.6g per gram of lean bodyweight.

Hi Pokey,

If you haven't yet had your evening meal, I'd say it looks just fine. Maybe a touch MORE fat, but really it looks quite okay.

Have a reread of your books for some reassurance about fat. The only "bad" fat is trans or hydrogenated fat, found in margarine and commercially baked goods. Saturated fats have unfairly been given a lot of bad press. They are only harmful when ingested with starches and sugars.

Cheers.

Rosebud
