Your journal caught my eyes so thought I'd stop by and say "Hi".
Your doing a great job and just as an fyi those shin splints will go away if ya' just slow your pace down a bit; you don't have to change your mileage just the pace and those bugaboos will soon go away. Ice pack treatments help out a lot, placing your legs up when resting, and lastly epsom salt baths are great for aching and sore muscles.
