Question Supplements, what to take?

I would was wondering what type of supplements i should take while on BFL. Judging from what i have read, the myoplex shakes and bars are all everyone uses cause it is packed full of good things. Personally, the aspartame amout and the cost of the products is keeping me away. So what supplements would be a good starting foundation? I have some ideas but i really am not educated in that area.

Default Hey Rachel

You can get some of the EAS products really cheap at WalMart... that's where I go to get them now... I even got my Creatine there. I have some of the Carb Control and Results shakes... they don't have asparatame, they are made with Sucralose (Splenda!) Yeay!

#1 Supplement for BFL : L-Glutamine. Trust me, the pain of the first few workouts alone makes this investment well worth it!!! Make sure you get the powdered form though, it's more expensive, but MUCH more effective... and the dosages are much more in line with what you will need. There are a few threads about L-Glutamine in the supplement section. Go to : http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26029 for a good one.

Welcome to BFL!!!!!!!!!

Hey euphoria,

I have just read Fat Wars by Brad King. He talks about good fats that help to stimulate fat burning (ie. flax oil) you may want to check out his website www.fatwars.com

also, check Nats journal, she is a wealth of info and I cant remember where exactly, but she had a list of supplements she was taking that looked pretty good.

Have you done a search in the nutrition and supplement section? That may also prove helpful.

Sounds like overall it is good to use glutamine, Vitamin C, creatine, mulitvitamine, vitamin e, flax oil, evening primrose oil.... but of course, the list can go on.....

I will post any links I find if it helps!
