Hey! I am NOT doing the fat fast anymore! It is too hard! I don't know why I even tried! But, I'm doing well. I would not reccomend it! But, if you have a copy of DANDR and are curious, its in there! I don't know though... I might do it sometime, like if I have enough discipline! The first time I tried it, I caved and binged! The second time, I was like, this is stupid- I can lose weight just doing Atkins induction! Why am I putting myself through this! On the other hand, what Dr. Atkins says in his book- and what I agree with- is that its not the fact that you are hungry on this "fat fast"- its the fact that the portions are so tiny! (and also that its only 1,000 calories). Its like eating 5 mini meals- but they are soooo tiny because they are so calorie dense. For example, you can have 1 ounce of macadamia nuts (200 calories), or, like, 2 egg yolks with a tablespoon of mayo (also 200 calories). Its just hard. I've had worse, though. I once did this diet called QOD- where one day you eat 400 calories, the next you eat normally. That wasn't that bad, because the foods are pretty filling (as in more volume). But you're supposed to have 2 cups of vegetable juice- it made me feel really good and I swear to God that my skin cleared up- but I got to a point where I literally couldn't stomach it anymore! It just tastes so bad to me! But I was able to stick with it for a little while because of the fact that you know you can eat more the next day- its not really permanent. Obviously, you can't binge on your regular day, but its also hard because you know you'll have to eat the veggie juice the next day!
