Talking Newcomer from the South

Well, I started Atkins this morning. I enjoyed a wonderful binge last night (don't tell anyone). I know it's Thanksgiving in a few days, and in a few weeks I go on a vacation, and was seriously just considering waiting till Jan. 1, but I'm sick of playing games.

I didn't step on the scale (I know it's too high), I didn't measure myself (I know my pants are tight)...and I plan on doing it with the idea of good health and getting slimmer. I don't want to be ruled by the numbers.

I lost 25 lbs on WW last summer and have gained it all back.

I chose Atkins because it is the strictest lo-carb I've found and I think that's what I need right now.

My goal is that next May is my 40th birthday and I will also graduate from college at the same time. YIPEE!!!

Welcome to the forum!

Atkins is definately the strictest plan out there - for some people that is exactly what they need (me!) and for others, they find they need to follow a more lenient plan.

What are you planning to have for your Thanksgiving? Planning is the key to success!

Hi and welcome! Good plan on using the trusty ol' "pant-o-meter" instead of the scale. It's too easy to get caught up in the ups and downs on the scale.

Enjoy the forum!
