Question Can this be true keto shakes

Hi I hope I am not asking a question that has all ready been asked I looked and searched but didn't see any. I received a Keto chocolate shake free along with my order the box says there are 3 carbs, 1 fiber and no hidden carbs. It is sugar, aspartame and saccharin free and no sugar alcohol, they use sucralose. Can it be true no hidden carbs. I ran it through fitday and no corrections. It has 20 grams of protein so that would be great to beable to use these.

hi Pat,

For the most part, low carb protein shake powders are what they say they are It's the bars that are the worst culprits for hidden carbs from glycerin and sugar alcohols. These chemicals are required to give the bar its texture .. chewy, moist and "bar-like" ... whereas the powders don't require anything .. you add your own liquid.

Just a note though .. I have seen a few of the ready-to-drink liquid protein shakes, and they do sometimes have glycerin, polydextrose or sugar alcohol added to make it thicker without increasing fat content.

So keep reading those labels

Doreen
