Question Caffeine Free Forever???

Is it necessary to stay caffeine free forever? or just during induction??? Is it okay just to cut down on caffeine after induction or is it simply an individualized thing depending on the person?

Caffiene is not good for you!!

We all know this...some of us (myself included) will not give it up. I think this is a persaonal decision u have to make. Coffee has carbs, can alter your insuline levels, dehydrate you....you get the picture.

If you have already given up caffiene, I congratulate you. Do you need to go back to old habits? Can you live with the occassional caffiene "treat" verses walking back into having it everyday.....

only you can make the choice.

Default caffeine

I've tried both ways. I went for months totally caffeine free. Now I'm back to having a caffeinated soda every day or two. It doesn't seem to make any difference with my weight if I have it or not. The only thing I have noticed is that later on in the day, I feel more tired out than when I stayed caffeine free. It gives me energy at first, but then wears off and makes me tired.

So, in the end, I agree it's a personal choice that we each have to make. There are pros and cons to it and always will be.

Post Thoughts

If you do a search for caffeine you might get other ideas. What I got from them its a matter of how much you have. Your body doesn't like alot of caffeine and can get depended on it. I think one soda a week would't hurt you. But you might get a headache the next day. And of course some people, like me, are just too sensitive for it.

And yes I miss coffee!

Lessara:

You said you missed coffee. Don't you drink decaf? I was a 3-4 cupper of caffeinated coffee daily before I began low carbing. Decaf doesn't bother me a bit....it's just sometimes I want to grab a diet soda that isn't caffeine free. If caffeine free is available....I usually make that my first choice.
