Question Keto Sticks

Do the keto sticks have to be dark purple in order to be in ketosis? If they're pink (middle) are you losing weight???

There aren't degrees of ketosis, either you're in ketosis or you're not. A darker color on your keto sticks could indicate that you're not drinking enough water, or dietary fat can give you a postive reading on the sticks. I've lost 44 lbs and have never used them...don't rely on them too much, they are a notoriously unreliable indicator of your progress.

All the best,

Hi Kim I just wanted to let you know that I like the keto strips and I think they are kind of like being accountable for me. When mine dont turn quite that dark, I can usually figure out what it was that I ate that was bad. I figured out that way that the bbq pork rinds had a trace of brown sugar in them and it was throwing me off. Also, are you testing in the morning or evening? I heard evening was best, I think it is more accurate that way. Hope you have a low carb weekend Take care, Kim

Melissa has it just right -- the stix are not reliable at all. They can even register as *negative* and you might still be in ketosis!
