Keto Sticks
Do the keto sticks have to be dark purple in order to be in ketosis? If they're pink (middle) are you losing weight???
Kim  |
There aren't degrees of ketosis, either you're in ketosis or you're not. A darker color on your keto sticks could indicate that you're not drinking enough water, or dietary fat can give you a postive reading on the sticks. I've lost 44 lbs and have never used them...don't rely on them too much, they are a notoriously unreliable indicator of your progress.
All the best, :) |

Hi Kim  I just wanted to let you know that I like the keto strips and I think they are kind of like being accountable for me. When mine dont turn quite that dark, I can usually figure out what it was that I ate that was bad. I figured out that way that the bbq pork rinds had a trace of brown sugar in them and it was throwing me off. Also, are you testing in the morning or evening? I heard evening was best, I think it is more accurate that way. Hope you have a low carb weekend  Take care, Kim |

Melissa has it just right -- the stix are not reliable at all. They can even register as *negative* and you might still be in ketosis! |
