Talking Crystal light, diet sodas question

Hello everyone, i have been on CKD for a month now and i wanna give myself a break, i dont wanna introduce carbs in my diet just yet, i do that on weekends.

I wanted to know if crystal light and diet sodas of course in moderation can give me a mental break from all this.

Do i have to be in ketosis to lose weight or just low carb ( below 20g a day)

thanks

Hi realdeal!

Sounds like you are doing great! Diet sodas and crystal lite can add variety and are okay as long as they don't make you stall. Some people do have trouble with them, but in moderation, they don't bother me. Watch out for the caffeine though, as that can make you hungry and jittery. Diet Hansen's and Diet Rite drinks are made with splenda so you might want to choose those. Generally, we try to avoid aspartane sweetened drinks - but I still have some occasionally. I really think it is worth a try for you to add some diet drinks. You don't want to let yourself get too bored with all of this. Bye! Cindi

Darn and I forgot to say something about the ketosis. Lots of people lose plenty of weight and are never in ketosis. Many people do not even check for ketsosis. For me, if I am not in ketosis - I don't lose. I am not sure why, but that little stick is a clear predictor for me. I am guessing that our body chemistries are different and vary in sensitivity to ketosis. Good Luck!

Thumbs up Thank you very much

This will surely make my weeks easier.

I been 110% on the ketogenic diet for a month now, but i do need a break, i just dont wanna give this up because its working so well.

Ok i will do this but in moderation of course, i didnt know about caffeine, i drink green tea right now.

Well guess that 3 cups a day will have to do.

Thanks again
