Question Veggie Pizza....ok?

I have had this many times and love it! I was wandering tho, is it ok to have. I am still on induction, so I'm sure its not a good idea to eat it now. But for when I get off of induction. Or if someone has an idea about making it differently please let me know.... here is what it is -----

Veggie Pizza

Ingredients
1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (1 ounce) package Ranch-style dressing mix
2 carrots, finely chopped
1/2 cup chopped red bell peppers
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup fresh broccoli, chopped
1/2 cup chopped green onions

Directions
1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2 Roll out crescent rolls onto a large non-stick baking sheet. Stretch and flatten to form a single rectangular shape on the baking sheet. Bake 11 to 13 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown. Allow to cool.
3 Place cream cheese in a medium bowl. Mix cream cheese with 1/2 of the ranch dressing mix. Adjust the amount of dressing mix to taste. Spread the mixture over the cooled crust. Arrange carrots, red bell pepper, broccoli and green onions on top. Chill in the refrigerator approximately 1 hour. Cut into bite-size squares to serve.

So the recipe makes 24 servings at 6 grams of carbs each, that is 144 carbs for the whole pie. How much of that would you eat?

hmm yea I would probably eat more than just one, since it being so good. Probably not a good idea to "test" myself on breads. I love breads too much and it might cause problems.

I'm trying to think if there would be a different way to make it since it is made with crecent rolls as it is. Not sure what else can be used for the bottom (crust)

Thanks

Have a look at Low-Carb Recipes at the top of the page for the Meatza! recipe. It uses a meat crust and you can use any topping you want. Great for breakfast!

Thanks Karen,

yes I saw that and have the recipe printed it out to add to my collection in my LC cookbook. I was just thinking for those times that I dont want meat (like a snack). I love my meat, but sometimes it makes me gag and I need something else. (for a change of texture) I'm a huge "texture" person.

Default Your choice of course....

Of course, it is up to you but I would wait as long as I can to use any fake foods because they really spark my old cravings.

Anyway i'm in my 4th week of induction so it's just how i'm doing it.

Good luck to you!
