I brush my teeth more when LCing, so cleaner teeth aren't a coincidence.

First, because when ketosis hits, because of my weight it seems to hit in a BIG way. So I am constantly trying to get that taste/feel out of the stomach-esophagus-mouth tunnel.

Second, because some GREAT advice I saw 9 months ago on this BBS somewhere was that, if you brush your teeth right after you eat, the taste of the toothpaste pretty much kills any interest in the taste of something else you probably shouldn't have. I wasn't sure I believed this, but found it to be true. Toothpaste just did not leave me inspired to go munching. I also think it really helped more when I'd eaten something fairly salty, to reduce my tendency to rebound into wanting something sweet.

Off LC, I brush my teeth in the morning and 'usually' at night. On LC, I brush my teeth morning, night, and about 2-4 times in between. So clearly my oral hygeine is different.

Which is a damn good thing, given my psychologically-inspired refusal to go to the dentist any more. :-)
