Thanks for looking in on my exercise log. Some days I think I take in way too much calories. I can feel more muscle in my legs. I need to always remind myself that muscle weighs more than fat.

Did pretty good last week the week before was a little better.
Those of you looking in on my gym log will notice that I do a lot of cardio and lower body exercise. I've lost most of my weight in the top half of my body, now I'm working extra hard on the bottom half I do try and switch my routine every month or so. I have as they say a pear shape body. Every night I also do crunches,squats and ball exercise before bed.

M - 60 min. elip. level 12 manual
30 min treadmill 4mpr incline 12
15 min weights
burned 1186 - not including weights

T - 60 min elip. - stomach ache
burned 802

W - 60 elip level 12 random
30 treadmill 4.2 mpr incline 12
30 strength - various machines
burned 1150 - not counting strength

T - Day off

F - 45 elip level 12/13 random
45 treadmill 4.1 mpr incline 12
15 weights
burned 1124

S - 60 min. at home gazelle
burned 506

S - 60 min elip random level 13
10 treadmill 12 incline - got to the gym late
60 min gazelle ~ home
burned 1456

I know that all machines aren't accurate when it comes to calories burned. Didn't weigh myself today not until Friday.

Here in toronto, Canada there is still a lot of snow on the ground, looks like it's started to get a little warmer so I'll start walking again. I need to buy a new step counter mine has finally had it after falling in the tolit for the third time.

Well the snow is finally gone and I did purchase a new step counter I'll start my walking again. I've been really busy but I've been still going to the gym.

Overall the last 3 weeks I may have missed about 4-5 days.

I usually do:

60 min ellip
30 - 60 treadmill
15 - 30 strenght
30 bike every other workout

I'm burning anywhere from 900 - 1300 calories a workout now if I could only keep my food consumption down I will be able to reach my goal.

Even though I haven't been posting I've been keeping track of my exercise routines.

I'm still attending 6-7 days a week for 1 1/2 to 21/2 hours still burning between 900 to 1300 calories. The reason I think that I'm not losing is because I eating wat too much carbs so I'm just maintaining.

Starting tomorrow I'm going to get more serious about reaching my goal.

I'll be posting my exercise routines on Sundays starting next week.

I've been working out on a regular basis and I still went up 6 pounds because of the late night eating and I had 3 chocolate bars this week.

decided to change up my routine for 2 weeks. Taking it a little easy then I'll step it up again.

All of my entries on the treadmill are random 9-15 incline ~ 3.8 - 4.5 speed

M - 60 min. tread & 30 strength - 747 calories burned not counting strength
T - 60 min. tread & 30 730 burned
W - 60 min. tread. & 30 strength - 716 burned
T - 60 min. tread. & 20 ab/adductor - 738 burned
F - 60 min. tread. & 30 strength - 742 burned
S - off
S- 60 min. tread. & 20 ab/adductor 752 burned

I'll be going back to ellipticle & bike probably next Monday I was getting a little board. I'm also working with the ball at home as well as my gazelle.

I did mostly treadmill and strength training last week, this week I'll be stepping it up a bit.

M - 60 min. tread. 720 cals burned, 30 min ball exercises

T - 60 min. tread. 776 cals burned, 15 m ball & 20 m ball

W - 60 min tread. 789 cals burned, 15 m ad/abbduction

T - rest

F - walked 1 1/2 hours

S - 60 min tread. 781 cals burned, 15 m weights

S - felt tired didn't exercise

I always use the treadmill on an incline, I walk and sometimes jog lightly.
I know that calories burned are not always accurate and I don't count strength or ball exercises when I'm counting calories burned - because I wouldn't know what they would be!

I did pretty good at the gym last week!

M - gym closed, took a break

T - tried stair climber only 10 min., 30 ellip. 415 cals, 60 tread. 778 total

W - 60 min gazelle 681 cals burned

T- 60min gazelle 620 cals, 15min weights, 60min. tread 778, 30 ellip. 420

F - 60min tread 689 (sore legs), 30min ellip 430, 60 gazelle 651

S - rest day - few minutes on ball before bed

S - 60min tread 767, 30min ellip 445, bought ab lounger did 15 min twice

My weight hasn't changed since I gained 6lbs, I'm gaining muscle and my legs are firming up. Still would like to see that scale move. Well gotta go heading out to the gym.

I was feeling pretty tired this week so I didn't go to the gym on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I did go to the gym today and I found I had a lot more energy, I think I was over training at first I felt guilty taking off 3 days but we need to listen to our bodies.

Last week

M - 30 min. tread 369 cals burned, 35 ellip 469, 40 gazelle 452, 30 strength and 15 min on my new ab lounge 2 Total calories burned 1290 not counting strength

T - 20 min ab lounge, 60 gazelle 678 calories burned

W - 60 tread 782, 60 strength, 20min gazelle 143

T - 30 min tread, 20 ab lounge

As you can see I started feeling over tired on Thursday I only stayed at the gym for 30 minutes, and I felt that I needed to take the rest of the week off. It helped I felt much better today.

I figure I'd add my last weeks workouts before I head out to the gym.

M - 60 min tread 745 cals burned, 60 min strength

T - 30 tread 345, 15 weights - had an appointment did workout too long

W - 60 tread 780, 75 strengh, 30 gazelle 291 - had a lot of energy this day

T - 30 Bike 220, 65 tread 821 - gym got a new treadmill and it's so smooth when you walk, I didn't want to get off.

F - 90 tread 1155, 30 strength - most calories I ever burned on a treadmill at one time.

S - 90 tread 1075

S - Rest day, later on in the evening I did 60 min on my gazelle 557 cals burned

Depending how I feel when I get to the gym I'm going to be trying for 2 hours on the treadmill. The only thing about the gym they don't have much air conditioning so you get very hot and you sweat soooooo much. I'll give it a shot until next Monday!!!

Wow! the weeks are going by really fast and it seems that my progress is very slow, so I decided to step up my workouts once again.

I wanted to do mostly cardio this past week, I will be changing my routine next week or the week after.

The gym got two next treadmills which are very smooth, when I get on it I don't want to get off I stay on it so long that I get so hungry and I have no choice but to get off.

M - 2 hours treadmill 1633 cals burned, 30 strength

T- 2 hours treadmill 1565 cals - Istarted to get really hungry going into 1 1/2 hours but I wanted to stick it out.

W - 30 min gazelle 282 cals burned- This was suppose to be my rest day

T - 1 1/2 hrs. treadmill 1152 cals burned, 15 min weigths

F - 1 hr. treadmill 822, 1 hr. strength

S - 2 hrs. treadmill 1640, 15 min strength - was toooo hungry to do anymore

S - This was my best day this (last)week. I did 2 1/2 hours on treadmill and I burned 2025 calories - at 10pm I did 1 hr of strength

I'm be doing this kind of cardio for another week or so and then I'll have a look at my progress and then switch up again by adding ellipticle, bike & cross trainer. Until next week!

I've been doing really good going to the gym on a regular basis. In the last 2 weeks I went up 2 pounds down 3, I've been going up and down. I decided that I'm going to take more time off of the gym, I'll be going 5 times a week instead of 6 - 7. I think I may be exercising too much and not giving my body a chance to recover/repair. We'll see how it goes.

Let me just say that my body is more toned, I still would like to have a smaller lean frame and be toned. When I'm exercising for long periods of time I need the carbs for energy so on the days that I'm not going to the gym I will be keeping my carbs around 20g.

Mon. June 20
2 hrs. treadmill 1542 cals burned, 40 strength - legs sore
Tues
1 hr. tread 835,10min cross trainer 143 (waiting for treadmill) - legs very sore
Wed
2 1/2 tread 2050 cals, 1 hr. strength BF bed
Thurs
1 1/2 hrs tread 1160 cals, 20 min weights
Fri
walked to and from whole foods market 2hrs 45min, 25724 steps - 861 cals
Sat
1hr tread 740 cals, 45 strength - didn't put too much effort feeling tired
Sun - rest day

Mon June 27
1 hr. treadmill 820 cals burned, 30 strength, walked 1 hr 10 min.
Tues
15353 steps 477 cals burned - Son graduation
Wed
70 min tread 1220 cals, 20 min weights
Thurs - rest day
Fri - gym closed Canada Day - didn't do home exercise
Sat - Tired
Sun
1 hr tread 820 cals burned, 30 strength

It's Mon July 4th and I'm not going to the gym I will be doing some exercise later on. I'll be trying my experiment for about 2 weeks on days that I'm not going to the gym I'll be keeping my carbs low.

I just weighed myself and yes I'm up again my current weigth is 165.
I measured myself:
1 inch off of my waist
1 1/2 off of my upper hips
1/2 inch off of my lower hips

The reason I do a lot of walking/treadmill is to target my lower body. It seems to be working - AT A VERY SLOW PACE!

I keep reminding myself the muscle weights more than fat.

Finally the scale is moving again!!!

I think I was over exercising, I took a couple of days off of the gym and did some exercise at home and it seems to have moved things along.

This mornings weight is 160, so I'm down 5lbs from last Monday.

Mon July 4th - No Gym just ab lounger

Tues - No Gym

60min treadmill 845 cals burned, 30 min weigths, 15 min ellipticle 230 cals burned had so much energy when I go home I washed floor, cleaned porch and cleaned my room a bit. Taking time away from the gym gave me some much needed energy.

Thurs
70 min tread 870 cals burned, 15 min weights

Fri
walked 1hr 1/2 forgot step counter

Sat
30min tape- Lean at Last with David Sinnott, 15 min toning, 20 min tape - Body Break Stretch & Strengthening

Sun
60 min tread 745 cals burned, I did lower speed with long strides and lunges, 30min strength. doing lower speed on treadmill on a incline of 15 with long strides targets all parts of the lower body. I was more tired doing that than faster pace, I felt a little sore the next day.

In the past week I found/feel that there is no real benefit for me to do long periods of time on treadmill ( 2 - 2 1/2 hrs) I got more out of shorter periods of time changing the speed and adding long strides and lunges. I will be challenging myself from time to time spending long periods on treadmill. No matter what speed I use on treadmill I always us a incline of 15, I will only lower it if I get tired.
