Default Help? - 1st week losses

Hi everyone-

this is my first post...I just found you all! What a great place.

Anyway, I have been doing Atkins since Sept. 3, and so far have only lost 2 pounds! That is almost 1 full week....shouldn't I have lost more?

I will keep up with induction. I have been very strict except for the fact that I have added a few nuts here and there....

My energy is definitely down. Exercising seems tough, but I exercised 3 times last week...

Am I doing okay?

About me, 25 years old, female, 170 to start.

thanks!

Hi Stacy,

2lbs is fine...don't worry

You may find that stopping the nuts during induction will help too. The are a not an induction food, and this is mainly becasue they do casue some folks to slow down their loss. They are best left until after induction when your bdy has adjusted to the new way of eating and you test them out to see what impact they will have.

Plus it's pretty hard to limit how many you have

Don't worry about exercising right now. Your body is going through a big change and will need to learn how to burn the new fuel (your fat), so you will feel lacking in energy for a while so soave the exercsie for a week or two until you adjust

HTH

Thanks Lesley-

It's tough. I'm doing this with my fiance, and he lost 4 pounds his first week, and he added fruit and low-carb bread every other day!! I stuck to induction much closer, and did so much less...

Men have it so much easier than women sometimes due to the muscle content! I wish!

Thanks again,

stacy
