Talked (guilted) myself into doing 30 mintues cardio this evening. Glad I did. I feel marginally better. If only my eyes would stop itching.

Have to go plan my official 'depletion' workout for manana.

Bren - I first ran into 'partitioning' with Connelly. Basically, it is whether calories are used for energy because they are needed or whether they get stored because they are surplus - based on what is needed at the time your body sends them 'here' or 'there' ('there' being the fat cells ). Read a fascinating article that Lux posted in CKD 101 and his journal today about how fat burning continues when you carb up - based on partitioning, those carbs are used to replentish muscle glycogen and as long as you don't go crazy with the fat there is no 'spill over'. Putting it to the test, I am!

Default C4W9D6 - Depletion Workout

Depletion Workout - 50 minutes

Giant and Supersets, 2 sets each exercise, 20 reps, 30 secs between exercises, 1 minute between giant/supers

Lunges
Hamstring curls
Calf raises

Pull Over
Chest Press
Fly

Military Press
Lat Raise
Upright Row

Bent Over Row
Shrugs

Skull crushers
Tricep extention
Concentration Curl

Finished at 6:00 pm. 100g carbs, 50g protein between 6:15 and 6:30 pm. No ill effects (none from the 50g carbs 1 hour prior either). I just feel really 'sloshy' from all the liquids - and gatorade sucks Must find something different.

Nat

p.s. Bren, I never thought otherwise

Scale up this morning - it's like the carb bloat was on a delayed release. Clothing fits the same but rings are tight. Hunger is zip, ketosis is back full throttle. This is fun.

Hard n Heavy Tension workout this evening.

Les, check out the CKD forum - I started up a thread "OK, so how does this look" - some details are in there. It was bizarre, it was fun and it was carbalicious - didnt even gain weight until today!

Default C4W10D2 - LBWO

Hard & Heavy, Tension Workout - Lower Body 45mins

Squats - 4 sets, 8 reps, 2x43lbs
Deadlifts - 3 sets, 8 reps, 146lbs, 136lbs, 126lbs
Leg Extensions (1 leg) - 2 sets, 10 reps, 70lbs
Hamstring Curls - 2 sets, 10 reps, 80lbs
Calf Raise didn't do these, worked calves w/ hammie curls

Reverse Crunch - 2 sets, 20 reps, bodyweight
Crunch - 2 sets, 20 reps, bodyweight
Pike Ups didn't do these (cat emergency involving a case of beer and the carpet :eek

Noticed a 'change' in my legs today - firmer, more 'toned' (hate that word!). Definitely going to be some DOMS tomorrow! Could have squated more (will do that next week) but could not continue with the deadlifts at that weight - grip gave out

6:00 a.m. 30 Minutes, med intensity cardio.

Not too sore (yet). Can def feel the deadlifts in the lower back area (been a while since I felt that)

No weight report - think it's down. Had no urge to visit the bathroom (why, I dunno after 25g of fiber....??) before coffee/water so I didnt bother to check.

Upper body workout this evening - anticipation grows!

Geez, Bren, I have a hard enough time remembering who I am now.. more names I do not need (freak!)

Nat

p.s. I was naughty - no a.m. cardio today. The extra 45 minutes in bed were needed.
