Question Softer skin?

Has anyone noticed that their skin has gotten softer since starting Atkins? I used to have dry scaly skin on my hands for years, and in the two months since I've been doing Atkins, my hand are soft and the scaly skin is gone! Also, the skin on the rest of my body seems softer as well. Another benefit of doing Atkins, or just my imagination?

My legs aren't nearly as dry as they used to be, I credit the oceans of water I've been drinking.

Yes, the water has a lot to do with the new hydration of the skin. But the "good" fats that you are now including in your diet have even more to do wth the change in shin and hair. If you want your dog to have a shiny coat, include Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) in his diet. And the same with humans.

It is not your imagination - it's another real benefit of LCing.

I have been low carbing for a while, off the plan some while pregnant and tiptoeing around maintenance levels while I am nursing/recovering. I had always noticed the clearer skin on Atkins, but this week I've doubled my water intake (I'm thirsty nursing the baby) from 75-100 oz per day to 150-200 oz per day. My skin has responded by getting super soft, just like the baby's! Not much diet change, just eating healthy, it's the water that did it for me.
