Default Fat Fast

For the Fat Fast, do we need to stick strictly to the few recommendations for 200 cal servings as shown on the atkins website or can we vary our daily menu, so long as daily calorie is 1000 and fat % is anywhere between 75 and 90?

I have one question.

Are you having problems reaching ketosis?

The Fat Fast is not ment to lose fat fast. It is meant to help people reach ketosis. If you are wanting to do the fat fast thinking you will lose weight faster, it doesn't work that way and Dr Atkin's does state this in his book.

I live in Singapore n cant seem to get hold of any ketosticks so i dun really noe if im in ketosis. Actually abt 2 months ago i started on the atkins diet but din have any weight or inch loses at all. i started on the diet again on the 18 aug and similarly, no results.

Then i decided to try the fat fast to kick start ketosis or some sort of weight loss. Today is my third day on that.. lost 1kg after the first day on this and nothing else after that...

So do u think im suitable for this? I presumed i shld be metabolic resistant given the lack of results on induction so far..

Hi there......

I noticed in your profile that you haven't read Atkins book and I strongly suggest that you make that your very first step! I am certain that you would find many of the answers that you are looking for there, along with his recommendations of how to use the Fat Fast.

In answer to your question: NO, I do not think that you are a candidate for the fat fast. Four to six weeks of following Induction exactly as directed in DANDR, without a lost of weight or inches, are the first requirement to meet before even considering the fat fast.
