Talking You are great!

Hello!

I´ve had my eye on this site for some time now... I startd low-carbing a week ago and I think it suits me! It's really nice to be able to chat with others who are in the same position and I've noticed some really good tips in this forum!
So far I have lost 4 pounds and I have so much energy. Yesterday I tasted a piece of toast and it tasted really sweet!!! I've always loved toast, but now it just didn't taste as yummy as before. And I've only been doing this for a week!!

well, take care, everybody!

Default Hi

Hello Cecilia!

Welcome to the forum. It is true, if I eat something with even a little sugar in it I could taste it. It tastes really sweet. 4 pounds is a great start! Keep it up!

Oooops! I noticed the " 'til target weight" in your profile.... does that mean you're in this to lose weight and then you're going back to a high carb eating plan?? If you read Dr. Atkins book carefully, you should know that this is a lifetime eating plan and you will most likely gain every pound back and then some if you go back to eating high carbs (>100g/day). Also, if you try LCing again after gaining that weight back, it will not be as effective the 2nd, 3rd, 4th time around....

Just want to make sure you're aware of that so that you can make a good decision as to whether this is the right lifestyle for you or not!
