Default ketostix? how many times a day?

How often does everyone test themselves per day. I thought it was supposed to be once a day. But I have read some test after every meal?

Default I think it depends.....

They aren't the only or even the best way to track progress.

For many people, they create an obsessive mentality.

I check mine about once a day, often I skip days. I"m thinking of not buying anymore.

Hi there Kitty.....

If you are going to test, it's best to test at the same time everyday, and once a day ought to do it.

In the beginning, I tested every evening about two hours after my last meal. Once I used up the package of ketostiks that I'd bought I quit worrying about it and it's made absolutely no difference to my success at LCing.

In my opinion, this is a life style change. It isn't about the scale or the ketostrips. I bought them too, but they mean nothing as far as I am concerned..neither the scale nor the ketostrips are going to change the way I low carb...if you follow the rules of induction.. and dont break them you will be fine. I test on a rare ocassion... it shows anywhere from a trace to moderate. I would never waste my money on them again..I really dont focus on the gimmics... I am in this for life...

Dont measure your success with a ketostrip, or even the scale..
getting rid of the white flour, pizza, cookies and cakes and pasta and bread , candy ,sugar, icecream, donuts and pastries and fast foods, is measure enough..
