Default Corned beef hash with turnips???

Hey Y'all....
Have any of you seen a recipe for corned beef hash made with turnips instead of potatoes??? I saw one somewhere and now can't find it. If turnips make such good hashbrowns, maybe they would work great in a hash??? Any ideas on how to do it???

Happy Lowcarbing,
Julee

Good idea!

Turnips would work, but they don't have enough starch to hold the hash together as a cake if that's the style you like.

What I would do is peel and parcook the turnips, dice them and continue as you would if making a hash with potatoes.

Hi Karen!
I wonder if adding something would help them stick together? Like a beaten egg or egg white.....hmmmm...... ground porkrinds.....hmmm. I'm going to experiment some with this!!
Thanks for the parboiling tip...I'll let you know how they come out.

Happy Lowcarbing,
Julee

I would try the egg first. Oh, to find the perfect low-carb glue!
