Default Fitday / Nutrition Question

I finally started my Fitday Journal on Monday and have a question.

Today I had 1 can of asparagus and went to enter it. I picked the Asparagus, canned, drained solids and checked my can lable.
I made sure I had the right serving size (1/2 cup according to can lable). The listed ingredients on my can are: asparagus, water, and salt. I also realize that rounding (or ignoring point-something amounts) will explain minor differences - and sodium will depend on how much they each (my Wal-Mart brand vs. whatever brand Fitday may have used) have added, but these numbers puzzle me: (my numbers will be Wal-Mart/Fitday)

Carbs: 3/3 (no issue here)

Fiber: 1/1.94 (that's still ok due to the .94)

Sugar: 2/0 (why would one have sugar, the other not - and where is the "missing" 1.06 carb in the fitday asparagus??)

Vitamin A: 8%/12.85%
Vitamin C: 25%/37.11%
Iron: 4%/12.3%

Especially the vitamins and iron are drastically different.

Just trying to understand these differences in what I assume to be naturally grown veggies without additives other than the salt.

Good question. They're probably just from different databases - the nutrient levels of produce can vary due to different growing areas, soils, handling, etc.

What I usually do is click on the "customize this item" icon, and plug in the numbers from the package. I assume that the numbers on the local packages are more accurate.
