Talking Oprah's Show on Weight Yesterday

Did anyone see the Oprah show yesterday? The women who lost weight and did weight training were so inspiring for me. I am ready to drag my free weights out and add it to my walking routine. I especially loved the lady with the 8 kids and the 9th on the way. She looked super!!!! They said weight training was the secret to keeping the weight off and making their bodies lean and sculpted.

I missed the show so thanks for the update. I just started to add those 5lbs. hand weights to my routine. Now I feel even better about doing that!

Thumbs up Weight training

I missed that show unfortunately. Since switching over to weight training in April I am TOTALLY converted to it. I LOVE doing weights after spending countless hours of cardio for years and years while I got fatter and fatter. Now I feel strong even though you cant really see the muscle yet.

I guess Oprah will be into weights now and that will spur on thousand of women to follow her. Next step for her should be low carb WOE and then watch it take off in the general public! Lots of shows on this week with L/C info and support

Default I'm a believer,too!!

I know I can't lose weight without BOTH weight training AND diet modification. See Nat's journal, she's the master! . I find when I do a killer body sculpt or body pump class on a regular basis (3-5 x per week) I can up my carbs-not with junk-but with more fruits and veggies- with no problem or weight gain.

I have tried dieting without weight training- and -weight training without dieting. Both ways the results are the same-NOTHING!!!

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results....Einstein
