I find that a little confusing because years ago they used to recommend milk (and honey) for people with peptic ulcers to neutralize the acid. I'm lactose intolerant and so is most of my family, and the usual symptoms are bloating and gas, for some people loose stools and cramps because the digestion of lactose occurs in the small intestine. Perhaps you had not fully digested whatever you ate before the milk, or maybe you had not had milk in a long time and your stomach needs to get used to it again, after all, milk is not as easily digested as we think, it takes a long time for it to be digested.
