Default Grapefruit

Has anyone tried having 1/2 grapefruit for breakfast, I see it's pretty high in carbs, but it has great nutrients in it. Just curious, haven't had any citrus fruit at all, I know oranges are quite high also.

There may be some PP'ers out there who eat grapefruit, because a limited amount of fruit is allowed or Atniks who have a higher carb tolerance, or those who weight train.

If you're going to eat fruit, it's best eaten with protein to slow down the insulin reaction from it.

Thanks Karen, by the way did you see my post about putting together a bbq at Spanish Banks one weekend for us Vancouverites? I think it would be a lot of fun. Marie B already told me she'd like to do one. So let me know, I think my message must be posted somewhere besides the Atkins board so I'd really like to do a potluck bbq, what do you think?

I sometimes eat 1/2 grapefruit with breakfast. I don't eat it alone, but it's good with eggs or another protein source. I ate it everyday with breakfast for awhile to break myself of having orange juice.
