Default Induction Lists Please :-)

Hi

Would a few of you post to me what you strictly ate on your two weeks of induction or however long you stayed on Induction. I would really apprecaite seeing what everyone had and what worked best for them those initial weeks.

Thanks folks :-)

I ate exactly what was listed in Dr Atkin's book under the induction chapter.

If it wasn't on those 4 pages, I didn't touch it.

Well and succinctly said! The best advice is to strictly follow your chosen plan until it becomes second nature.

Good Luck

Plan: atkins/protein power 1st
Stats: 269/278/210 Male 5 feet 10 ins.
BF:33%/30%/ ?
Progress: -15%
Location: Hertfordshire
Default Just to recap

Any meat
Any fish
Any fowl
Any Shellfish
Any eggs

You can BBQ, Fry, Grill, Roast, poach (poached salmon or haddock with a poached egg...yummy)

Except luncheon meats with nitrates or added sugar.
Except products that are not exclusively meat, fish or fowl(e.g meatloaf and breaded fish or battered fish etc.)

Real cheeses not diet cheeses or spreads etc. (n.b. there is some carbs in cheese)

+ Salad vegetables and salad herbs (count the carbs)

low carb veggies (count again) the greener the better + cauliflower and mushrooms

Bamboo shoots, Bean sprouts, Waterchesnuts .

You can boil the veggies, sautee them in butter, stir fry in olive oil.

You can make huge quiches with out the pastry.

Drink :
water
decaffeinated tea and coffee
. No milk just cream. It is summer so drink it iced
Herb teas
clear broth/bouillon)
Diet soda if you must.

So you see it is impossible for people to say what they ate on induction. The list would be like the inventory of a large supermarket

The trick is to get breakfast right. Especially if you are used to cereals, fruit juice, half a grapefruit and toast and marmalade,
The rest of the day is a doddle.

Thanks everyone. I hope no one thought I meant to post your whole list...Sorry :-)

What you said was perfect..and Rustpot...THANKS A MILLION.

I lost a ton of weight this way but I sort of winged it. Have about 25lbs left just want to start a hardcore induction for a few weeks. I'm on one now and doing great but wanted to see what others were doing

Thanks again

Ah I see!
Perhaps what you meant to ask was what our favorite induction menus were.

Whenever I feel the need to go "back to basics" I love to add in the fat! A start to the day with the "French Toast" always makes me feel good.

I look for rich and luxurious foods at the beginning. They satisfy and induce ketosis. Plus it just feels so good!

Hope this helps

Colin
