Default Trainier Dan - Serious question

I had a Concusion yesterday and I am feeling really dizzy.
I was wondering if you knew when it would be safe to continue the intense cardio and weightlifting sessions.....also since this happend to me on the weekend how am I going to get into Ketosis since I am unable to do any working out until at least Thursday? Should I still eat on the low carb plan even though I am not in ketosis?

How will this throw me off?

Thanks.
Jay

Default oh my!

Wow, sorry to hear that flyguy ...

Well, not knowing the severity of the concussion and the nature of how you got it, my best advice would be to take a full week off, and just do the keto portion of the diet ...

Sorry so short, but I am on my way to work and wanted to give you an asnwer before I left ...

I'll expand more later ...

Default resuming activity ...

While mild symptoms persist, such as headache, cardiovascular conditioning may be maintained through stationary cycling or swimming.

After symptoms have disappeared, jogging and running can be done to maintain cardiovascular fitness. If you are an athlete, particular skills of sport—throwing or catching a football, for instance—may also be practiced in this phase.

Muscular strength conditioning may be accomplished through resistance exercises such as weight lifting, but only after major symptoms are absent. It’s important when lifting weights or performing other resistance exercises to not hold your breath during the loading phase of the activity.

If you are involved in sports, before returning to the sport activity be sure that skills that may serve to protect against injury are in place. A coach or athletic trainer should determine if this is the case by asking the patient to perform (at full speed) certain skills or activities inherent to the sport or activity.

Under no circumstance should an athlete return to full-intensity training/competition before all symptoms of brain concussion have been gone for a week or more. To do otherwise risks even more serious injury.
