Default Lean protein bites?

In my last Netrition.com package, there was literature for the Lean Protein Bites - 1 oz packages of "candy" with crunchy centers and three flavors of coating. They look interesting and may be good for on-the-go snacks.

Anyone try them yet??

It looks like there are 1g of carbs on the label, but about 2.5 g extra hidden carbs from maltitol.

Default three useful things to know if you are reading this...

I believe you can make a quick link through to the Netrition website by the orange menue bar above, click on the Low Carb Shopping link.

Also, the maker of the Lean Protein Bites product is, I believe, Breakthrough Engineered Nutrition.

A one ounce (~28 grams) serving size of the Milk Chocolate flavour has 120 calories with 6g fat, 14g protein and the rest will be carbohydrates. The Ingredients List for this one is:
Ingredients: Protein blend (soy protein isolate, whey protein isolate), sugar free milk chocolate coating (maltitol, cocoa butter, chocolate liqour, sodium caseinate, milkfat, soy lecithin, and vanillin), Kosher gelatin.

Hope this helps.

I've tried the Lean Protein Bites, chocolate and peanut butter. I really like them both, though the peanut butter is my favorite. Looking forward to ordering the white chocoalte next.

Yummm....I LOVE these things. I buy them from the local lowcarb store (which used to be mine :-) I eat these like a cold cereal with half and half. Tip>>> take small bites, as they seem to expand....I guess it's the soy. They have an excellent flavor, though.
Happy Lowcarbing,
Julee

These are quite and all are now free of non-erythritol polyols except the white chocolate kind (why no one has come up with an erythritol or poly d white chocolate, I don't know, but it is annoying.)
