Default Pampered Chef Party...Big Cheat

I knew it was coming...my friend's Pampered Chef party last night.

Chicken-Club Crescent Ring and Skillet-baked chocolate cake with ice cream.

I ate it all.

I also ordered some stoneware.

The weird part is that I got REALLY hungry after eating that stuff. I haven't been hungry since I started LC-ing. I was sure it would set off a big carb binge when I got home...."I've already blown it, so why not?" But by the time I got home, I was craving meat more than bread and protein more than carbs. I ate a slice of roast beef instead.

Anyway, I lost a battle, but I think I may be winning the war. I sure hope so.

That's a great thought--and the more important part is winning the war. So many of us here have won the battle with 20 or 50 or 120 pounds, only to regain it. If we can break our carb addictions, let our bodies and minds heal, and take the longer view, then yes! We can win the war.

Hi Jamie 281,

I too fell off the wagon when I caught the flu....just wanted some comfort food....I ended up munching about 6 cookies and a bowl of honey nut cheerios....but then, like yourself, I got right back on the bandwagon....so you should be proud of yourself for not continuing the binge.....we are human, we are not perfect!

Good luck!

Carol

CONGRATS FOR NOT ALLOWING YOURSELF TO EAT MORE JUNK WHEN YOU GOT HOME. YOU TOOK THE RIGHT APPROACH YOU KNEW YOU WERE HUNGRY, ALL THOSE CARBS YOU HAD TO BE, BUT YOU ATE SOMETHING GOOD, HAD YOU NOT EATEN YOU WOULD HAVE HAD TO GIVE IN TO CRAVINGS!!
