Default Alcohol and pepperoni ????

Two Questions:
1. I know that alcohol is not a good thing when trying to lose weight. However, I am attending a bachelorette party in two weeks and know that I will want to drink a little bit of something. What are the best drinks? I don't have a problem with stright whiskey, but are all brands the same as far as carb/sugar count?
2. I never read anything about pepperoni. The brand that I bought says that there are no carbs or sugar in 18 slices. Is that true? Is it okay to eat?
Help!

Straight alcohol contains no carbs or sugar. That said, many people have found they turn into "cheap drunks" with LC. It also has lowered their inhibitions and set them off on a binge...6 slices of pizza and an order of nachos later.

Alcohol will be burned before fat, so depending on the degree of indulgence, it can cause a setback.

On the pepperoni, what is in the ingredients? If there are no sugars like corn syrup etc. or starch fillers, it's probably safe.

Once I was established in low-carbing I tried alcohol and it didnt seem to effect my weight loss but I was definitely a cheap drunk..lol What I was prepared for and dealt with is being really hungry the next couple days. As for pepperoni it sounds fine altho some people have problems with deli meats because of the sodium and nitrates.
