Do yourself a favor.

Get the book. Either buy it or go to the library and check it out. DO NOT try to do this diet without reading the book.

I am totally serious when I say without reading the book you can do some major damage to yourself if you don't do it right.

Hi chubbyone, today is my first day on Atkins and you can find alot of info on the Atkins website, that is where I do my calculations of carbs if that helps. The Atkins book also helps but check out the website it even has alot of recipes.

Welcome to our family. I would read Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution. But I can honestly say the this website has been the most helpful tool that I have found. Also I used this the website below to find the nutritional values of many foods.
Good luck and STICK WITH IT.

Default Hi :)

I am new also...I found the Atkins diet online and I printed out the foods chart and read how to do the induction. So I am on Day 3 and finding I am starting to adjust to this...it is strange not eating bread but I can live with that to lose weight. ! Good Luck and I think I will take one suggestion given to you and also get the book as a backup for the website C hrissy

BTW, this link:

is the same database we have on this site. It's in Low-carb Tools in the orange bar at the top of the page.
