I live in Maryland now, but spent 6 wonderful years in Smithville (Atlantic County) and I really miss it at times. Loved living near the ocean. NJ's not nearly the armpit everyone thinks it is...I lived in a very pretty area.

Good luck with your program!

Default jersey girl? hells yeah I am.

I'm a jersey girl, temporarily partying my way through college in north carolina. After I'm done busting my ~$$, I will return to jersey with a Bachelors (woo-hoo). Three years have past since moving and everytime I go back to visit my friends and family, I appreciate jersey more and more.

The beach, the cities, the clubs, the parks, the malls, etc. Access to everything, and all different types of people. That's just my kind of place! I'm proud to call jersey my home. Not to mention jersey girls have a reputation for being the hottest around... that's what all the guys down here say anyway! .. hehe!

If there are any other college students, or anyone really, from jersey trying to get used to the low-carb way of life, send me an e-mail. I would love to get a support system going. Best of luck, love, and much laughter.

In Elizabeth. The armpit is one township below us in Linden. We have lived here in Elizabeth for over 11 years, and expect to stay for many more. My son is in the Elizabeth Public School system and is doing as well as he could in any other school (this is a plug for a much maligned school system). Love your picture/cat.

NJ is a large place, for being such a small state! ;-)

I'm in Passaic Co., just west of Bergen and not so far south of Upstate NY. Getting a NJ group together is fine, but it's a bib place for such a small state!

Hi there -- nice to hear from you!

I am not a native to the area, but have lived here since 1995. I work in Wayne and live in West Milford. I guess this is in relation to support groups and buddying and all that? I am not sure what being an LC buddy means, but I think my original post made the point that it made sense to buddy up with someone in the same area so we can talk about shared products and stores, etc. If you are up to buddying, I am --

Cheers -- Robert

Hi SummerYet:

We are in the Elmora section of Elizabeth, and my son is in Reilly Middle School. I am active in the entire Gifted and Talented program for the Elizabeth school system. That program covers Mravlag Elementary, Halloran Elementary and Reilly Middle Schools. If you have time, send me an e-mail at chairgteliz~earthlink.net

Al

Default Hello?!?!?

Are any of you guys/gals still around? I see that there hasn't been a post for a few months...I'm new to this site, and would love to meet some fellow Lowcarbers from NJ. I'm in Hunterdon County...Central Jersey.

I Hope to see some new action on the Jersey Threads. My fingers are crossed.
