Default Hidden Carb Calculator

I'm trying to figure out how many carbs are in something, and when I go to fill out the hidden carb calculator in the Low Carb Tools section, this is one of the boxes....

Subracted Fiber? _____g
Only fill this out if the manufacturer stated that the fiber was subracted before calculating the calorie/energy value of the food, and is not included in the carbs list.

I'm not sure if I fill that out or not....
Thanks,
Jennie

Default Probably not... I think?

I was a litle confused about that as well. The feeling that I got about it was that unless it actually states on the nutrition panel that the manufacturer has already done that (which I have never seen before), then do not enter anything in that section.

That's my best un-educated guess!

I'm sure that some one more in the know that myself will come along soon and answer for sure.

Default Hi

It's a protien bar. I bought one yesterday, curious how they taste, but wasn't sure how to figure it out on there. But, I took a bite and didn't like it anyway....
Thanks,
Jennie

Protein or low-carb bars are notorious for their hidden carbs. Good thing you threw it out!
