Default LaTortilla's!!!

I went grocery shopping today, and they had LaTortillas. I've been looking for them. Came home and put some scrammbled eggs and sausage in one, and I thought I was in heaven!!! My boyfriend thinks I'm pretty silly to be so happy I found them, but I'm already thinking of a hundred different things to do with them...
Jennie

12 grams carb
9 grams dietary fiber
= only 3 carbs!!!!!

Hi Jennie!
I have been dying to try those tortillas!! The only prob is we can't get them up here in Canada and it is way too expensive to order them online. I do live very close to the BC/Washington border and I was wondering...if I made a trip across the line to do some "huntin" what grocery stores would be my best bet for finding this product?? I know you're from the "other" Washington but any ideas of chain type stores that might carry these?
I just keep thinking of the possibilities!!!

Sunshine Smiles!!

Default Tortillas

They have them in the Safeways, don't know if you're familiar with them but they're everywhere. Sure was nice to find them.
It was funny when I was paying for them, because the check-out guy said "These must be really good, we've been selling them like crazy". So I figure there must be alot of lo carbers here in town.

Default Could you post..

Could you post the manufacturer of these and where they are located? (Most likely on the package somewhere) We have a wonderful grocery store that will order whatever their customers want if they can possibly get it.

I love Tortillas and have missed them for breakfast!

Default I just got mine in the mail

The package says that because of the 9 grams of dietary fiber that the tortillas are only 3 carbs each. I have heard so many conflicting stories that you should count all the carbs regardless of the amount of dietary fiber and I have also heard that you subtract the dietary fiber from the total number of carbs to get the true carb count. Does anyone here know the real deal?

Talking fiber

Jerzee,

The 2001 edition of Atkin's New diet revolution, he says (briefly, but nonetheless) that you are supposed to subtract fiber from carb count. I've heard that the 2002 new edition goes is much more vocal about this.

Personally, I love the la tortillas. I consider them my meat and veggie carriers I limit myself to one a day though.
