Default overeating?

Hi everyone,
Is it possible to overeat on the free foods durring induction? I dont feel like I have lost anything in my first 5 days. I will check weight in 2 more days, but I am afraid that I may have spent the whole week guzzeling water and missing my carb rich diet for nothing.

Hi Heaven,

Yes it is possible to overeat free foods. Perhaps you should be more specific. Ie Atkins now recommends max 4 oz cheese daily. What do you think you are overeating? I'd like to add that even 'free foods' like eggs have .6 gr carb each, so you should be counting carbs on EVERYTHING you put in your mouth.

A suggestion? Ditch the scale until you have completed the 14 day induction period. You'll be happier for it, 'cause watching the scale daily will drive you crazy. The 2 week result is the only thing that matters, I mean it!

Happy LCing!

Heaven, why not start up a journal so we can peek into what you are consuming on a daily basis. Maybe we can then point to what may be causing you to hang up.

Basic rule of thumb is 10 to 12 times your wieght in calories, and 64 oz min a day for water.
