Default dry mouth

Hello all

Does anyone else get a dry mouth really bad? I guess its a good thing it keeps me drinking water like its going out of style. I have had to put a glass of water next to my bed at night due to the fact i wake up in the night very thirsty..

Im not complaining i have always loved water.. Even when I was a kid.. and i have passed that along to my children.

But was wondering if that is normal?

Thanks

Default salt?

That happens to me if I'm NOT drinking enough..but you sound like your drinking alot...Do you eat alot of high sodium foods?..Sometimes that dries out your mouth, even if you are drinking water...

Thanks Slim,

Yes I do eat alot of salt its something im working on cutting back with this diet, Havent used as much as I use to... Yes I ususaly drink alot of water a day most of the time around 80-100 ozs some times more and yes some times I barely make my 64 only if I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off... Which I have eleminated alot of my runnign around like that... But sometimes as you know its nessary..

Well Today its tuna mayo pickles on a cup of lettuce for lunch . And I barely used any salt... And actualy It taste a bit salty.. I love being able to taste what real food taste like now that I have cut out sugars and carbs...

Thanks for your reply,
Tammy

hi Tammy,

We had an interesting discussion a few months ago about drinking water, water weight balance, and dehydration etc. LC Sponge had some interesting observations on the importance of maintaining a consistent water intake from day to day, as opposed to not enough one day then try to catch up the next. Check it out here.
