Default Good bye and Best wishes!!

On Saturday Feb 9 I celebrate my 2 year anniversary on Atkins.

I am happy to report that I am happy, and thin, and healthy. With good luck and good will, I will remain that way. I appreciate the new friends I have made via the "lard lines" (as I affectionately call Low Carb message boards). I have been a member of many of them over the years. This one is by far, the best and it gets better every day.

Low carbing is heavily ingrained in me - it works for me, and for that I will be eternally grateful. There is no fear that I am leaving to return to "old" habits.

However, the time has come where I need to turn my attention to other things. There is a horse in my near future (thanks LauraV!), I want to devote more time to quilting (hail Marlaine!) and also more exercise (salute, Nat!).

I will be receiving well-wishers in my journal until Saturday when I sign off for good. (Am a prima-dona or WHAT!?). I guess I need to commit my breasts to reveal on the podium - or should that be "commission my bust for display on the pedestal....."?? Anyway.... - somehow I need to go down in posterity

Be happy in being healthy, all. I love you.

Hi...sorry the forum is losing all your knowledge. You've been a great asset to the group. I know this isn't your journal, but I decided to say "good-bye" here!

I understand what you mean about other commitments of life. It's hard to be everywhere and do a good job at all the things you love doing.

I've been busy working on a "sporting history" book (it's a big job, fun, there's fame involved and I'm even getting paid to do it!) as well as doing some sewing and knitting. I've been making the greatest socks, perfect for the weather we've been having! I've also been doing more cooking and baking...I've come up with a couple new recipes, I should post as well. There's never enough hours in the day!

Take care of yourself...best wishes to you too.

P.S. - Hope that walking a picket line, isn't going to be part of your new exercise program. Hopefully, we'll get a new contract soon. You should see the "guard dogs" we're lining up to help with the fence lines!!!

Goodbye LC,

Thanks for your encouragement and your being a true role model. You are wise and a success story in every sense of the word. Of that you must be proud.

You have made a difference to many of us here still working toward our respective goals, and your words have, just as often made laugh as well as, think.

Thank you, you will truly be missed.

Muse
(ps...you are always welcome for lunch! )

Well done for reaching your goal- always very encouraging to hear of success. Any chance of leaving your journal here so we can see how you went about it and be encouraged to keep at it too?

This post gives me a great deal of hope and I am very happy for you. I think this is when low carb has really become a way of life and not simply a diet. The day when we can move on to focus on our real lives and not on what we put in our mouths! This is good health.

Congratulations on reaching that point! I hope one day I may too

Take care, stop by and wave occasionally I always found your wisdom and insight enlightening.
Jo

Good luck with your new endeavours sponge. It was so good to have someone llike you who has perservered over a lengthy time to get to that goal - slowly.

It is a perfect model for those of us who get frustrated and try to make things happen fast!

thanks for your insights

Lesley
