I am upset though I gained a pound ... Why is it that us women gain weight at that time of the month

But... If anyone has any idea how to drop weight quick let me know plz cause i want it off ... hehe 
But... for the last 3 months I been doing more veggies and fruit and meat with lots of excerise ... cut out junk food, pasta switched to whole wheat pasta ... that is only 1-2 times a week and same with potatoes.... but plz help me
