Post My Favourite Carb List

When I started low-carb I found it difficult and tedious having to find all the carb counts I needed. In the end I just wrote out my own list. I have got the carb counts from many and varied sources over the years and offer them to any fellow low-carber that may be interested.

The carb list prints out on a couple of pages and, when I started, I found it handy to keep on the fridge door to remind myself what was what.

As it is a text file it can be loaded up into any word program like MS Word for final formatting before printing.

Hope it helps.

Yours aye, Scotsman

PS. If any one wants it in MS Word or MS Excel format just drop me an email. Unfortunately it can only be attached in .txt format on this website.

Thumbs up

Thanks Scotsman.
Next time I eat haggis, I'll know just where to find the carb count!
I've printed it out as I'm sure it will save me a lot of fiddling about.
Good on you, mate!

Thanks for the list. Just thinking about the weekend

Haggis (200g) 24 carbs
bashed Neeps (100g) 2.3carbs
Tatties (100g) 18 carbs

Total 44.3carbs!

A wee dram 0 carbs

Any suggestions? Should I just stick with the sauce!

Talking Haggis Dilema

Rustpot,

It's a fair cop guv! Burn's Night celebrations are notoriously non low-carb. My only plan is to skip the tatties (potatoes), limit the neeps (turnips), enjoy the haggis and whisky and hope to burn off all the excess carbs with some wild dancing.

Also wearing the kilt in such a cold time of the year helps burn off a few more calories!

Yours aye, Scotsman

(these are the nearest smilies i can find for an eightsome reel)
