Question Phen-Phen

How many of you have taken Phen-Phen in the past? Just curious. I did.

Default Problems?

Have you had any problems since taking it and how long did you take it?

I took the Phen-Phen for about 4 months and then switched to redux. I took that for about 6 weeks when they pulled it off the market. i don't think i took it long enough to cause any problems.

I took the Phen-Phen for about 2 years, maybe a little longer and I remember being kind of cocky about it when they came up with all the problems that were and still are going on and I remember saying, "Well, if I die, at least I will be skinny" and now I look back and think, gosh, what did I do to my body. And now, I am still as big as I was when I started that diet. I wish I would never have taken it.

i'm a little worried about getting older and when i reach my 60's like my mother is now whether problems will start to surface then. I guess trying to lose is best to modify diet and keep away from magic bullets!

I am looking into herbs and things that will help with the effort.

Default I tried it too...

At the time (4 1/2 years ago), I was at the weight that I am now and a girl I was working w/ (she was probably 50 lbs overweight) was taking it. She gave it to me and I think one other girl...I lost 15 lbs in about two weeks (it took me about 1 1/2 years to gain it back). I couldn't eat a thing / all food looked horrible. Once it went off the market, I was devistated. I still have no idea the damage I did to my body.
Atkins for me is sooo much better (yes, for the obvious health reasons), but also I do not want to ruin all the work it took for me to get here - I earned it and it means that much more. Now at this weight, I think I am absolutely gorgeous (I tell my boyfriend atleast once a day how great I look...lol...it should probably be the other way around, but for him, he's thinks I always look great ).

Well everyone, good luck w/ our new, much safer diet,
Erin

I don't know if Xenical has any appetite suppressant effects (I have never used it) but it is supposed to block 30% of the fat you consume (thus reducing your overall fat intake). It is designed to be used with a low-fat, restricted calorie diet. The problem is, if you eat too much fat...you have...how shall I say this delicately?? Um.......anal leakage. You can use your imagination for the rest! Everyone I know who has used it has had a public "accident" (totally uncontrollable apparently) and subsequently threw the stuff in the trash.

Thumbs down Re-dux

I tool the Re-dux for 3 months, and my doctor pulled me off, 2 years before the recall. I have had an ultrasound of my heart and valves, and so far, everything looks good. but i have to have one every 5 years now. Has anyone heard of when we get the settlement? PP is SO MUCH more healthy! I am tired of the gimmicks and pills.
