Default New President's Choice stuff...

There are some new PC low carb items out that may make a nice change.

They have a new Diet Carbonated Apple beverage that is really nice. Doesn't taste diet at all. Sweetened with Aspartame etc but very nice.

Some of their new burgers include: Bison Burgers, Yellowfin Tuna burgers and for the Vegans: Porobello Mushroom burgers. None were too bad in carb. The full Insider's Report is due out later this week (Saturday?).

I liked the page where PC has a new beer we can drink... It is bottled by Molson and is called 2.5g.... I am guessing the same as Molson Ultra but about $25 for a two four

Anyone know if this stuff is available in BC? And where one might find it? I don't recall PC being a popular brand where I normally do groceries.

In BC, President's Choice brand is sold at Superstore/Extra Foods. Haven't looked for the apple drink yet, though.

I looked at the Preseident's Choice website and the bison burgers are 5.5 carbs each and have wheat crumbs in them. Grrrrrr.

I sent them an email expressing my displeasure at that.

I tried this stuff today... it does tase like Apple Jolly Ranchers, but the flavor gets old quickly. I honestly don't know if I'll finish the 12-pack.

With a splash of vodka and a twist of lemon, the Diet Green Apple makes a pretty good Green Apple Martini

Yeah those Bison Burger are only like a 500 gram pack or so too for the price. I predict that product will be extinct by next year.

4 burgers to a pack and the pack is $5.99 at the moment.
I am sure ppl will try them at first out of curiousity but after some time it will die down and they will go the way of a lot of President's Choice products that were never great sellers.

I really hope they take the wheat crumbs outta the bison burgers...i was dying to try them - it's so hard to find BISON meat!! i'm allergic to gluten, so there's no way i could have a "small bite" either. grrr. let's keep e-mailing them.

I was looking forward to trying the bison burgers until I saw those stupid wheat crumbs in them. Crap.

In Winnipeg I can buy 4 pure bison burgers (i.e. without fillers) for less than $4.50. I won't be trying the PC variety.
