metabolic resistence
I was doing everything right according to what I could tell from the Atkins plan and according to my Blue Cross Blue Sheild nurse and dietician. I'm a T2 Diabetic (3 years). I take (among other supplements) Metformin and Lipitor. My BG for the first 4 months were great. However, my blood pressure is now too high. I also walk off 250-350 calories nearly everyday. But I had only lost 6 lbs. in those 4 months.
I became very frustrated and in the last 3 weeks I have regained some of the original 6 lbs. I have continued to walk, so that's probable why I haven't gained it all back and then some.
Have I encountered metabolic resistence? Is there anyone out there who has but who has also found a way to lose weight in spite of it?
