Default Why did you pick your goal weight?

I picked my goal weight because it was how much I weighed before I had my daughter 8 years ago. I just thought that would be a good start

What's behind your goal weight? Did you just pick anumber out of the air? Dr. recommended? What??????????

I just picked a weight I remembered in the past. Funny thing is that is was not a low as other goals I use to pick out for myself. I guess when first starting out, looking at the overall weight one sometimes wants to lose, makes you more realistic.

I originally picked a goal weight that was right in the middle of the revised weight table (the leaner one) for my height. However, I now consider weight irrelevant, since it's percentage BF that is important to me. I got to my goal weight but my BF was way too high. So I'm concentrating on getting that down to where I want it, and I'm not sure where my scale weight will end up.

I decided 140lbs because that seems like a healthy number for my height! I can't ever say that I was ever that weight, I went from baby fat to just fat!! So it'll be nice to see how I accomplish it, cause I will!

Hmmmmmmmm good question. I chose 150 because that was what I
weighed the last time I was in a "normal" clothing size. Looking at the
weight charts, it's at the high end of what I should weigh, but oh well.

I'll see how I do getting there first and then decide if I want to go
lower.

Hugs all!

I remember weighing 135 pounds in my twenties, and feeling good, although then I was always trying to lose down to 110, an amount I consider completely unrealistic for me to achieve or hold now. I figure with the extra years on me, 135 should be a perfect weight for me, but we shall see as it gets closer...

I chose mine because thats what I was last time I was thin and I looked really good. When I got any thinner than that people said I looked to skinny. Guess when I am think I have the curves in all the right places. Right now I have them in all the wrong places. LOL

I picked mine because its around the centre of the healthy weight band on the bmi chart I looked at. I havent written it in stone I may end up lighter or heavier I am sure my body will find its level.

I was 125 when I was 20ish, but I was in HORRIBLE shape. Now I am in considerably better shape. At my current measurements I don't think I need to lose another 20 pounds, so I am shooting for 10 more pounds to get the last flab off. It's still on the high side, but I am hoping the higher weight will be more easily maintainable.

At my current weight (height 5'4), my waist is 25.75 and my hips are 35.5. I am shooting for 25/34, but we shall see.

I picked mine because it was the weight that I have been comfortable at and is the weight I was able to maintain the longest (the last time I was skinny... ). According to the weight charts the highest weight i should be is around 165 but I can't ever remember weighing that little.

My goal may be more or less when I get close to my comfortable body size... since I'm now working out 6x a week and I've NEVER done that before it will be interesting to see where I end up.

I believe that it is important to look at the bmi chart for an idea but that it is also important to feel good in your own skin.

My senior year in high school I weighed 160 and I LOOKED HOT!

But I knew I was overweight and I was constantly exercising back then so I decided to shoot for 10# lower than that.
