Default new and blazing!!!

Hi guys! Well my name is Serene and I have started this diet about 3 months ago. I'll admit I kind of have this routine of doing two weeks of induction then one week eating normally then back to induction... But so far, I have done really well!! I was at about 200-205lbs. size 16!!! Now I'm at 180 size 12 sometimes 14. But I'm still a far way off from my goal weight. I'd like to be about 150 or 155. I think that's healthy for my height. This diet has worked for me before and I know it will work again, if only I wouldn't cheat. You know, eating the last 3 fruit snacks that my son doesn't finish, or licking the ice cream cone so "Nothing falls off..." (because you know that would be the end of the world... =) So I was hoping to find support here...Please let me know if anyone is interested in buddying up or how I can find a group of ladies would similar goals. Bye for now!

Serene

Uhhh, you might want to read the Uses and Abuses of Induction at Atkins.com. Going back and forth to a high carb diet is not recommended.

I realize. But I guess when you're a woman and you feel like a frumpy mess in anything you wear and you're embarassed to go shopping, sometimes (as wrong as it is..) you go to extremes without regards to your health. I realize now it's very dangerous and I'm not doing it anymore (or as much at least) but in my case, the severe depression alone would have killed me if I didn't do something. And I don't recommend ANYONE doing it, but in my PERSONAL case, it just made me feel like I was DOING something about losing weight instead of just complaining about it. Seeing the quick results also were a big moral boost. Anyway, I know it's wrong, but I did it. Now it's really just day by day.

Hi Serene!

Hello and nice that you have joined the forum! I too have fallen off the wagon a couple of times, mainly due to alcohol than food, although I always gain any weight lost in a blink of an eye!

I always try to stay focussed and in control - purely cos it makes me feel so much better in myself and that I am in charge - no the food and alcohol!

I would suggest starting a journal so you can post food logs for the day, and also bitch/moan about things when things arent going to plan ... you are not on your own, and I have found the non-judgemental attitudes of people on this forum invaluable!

Take care and hello again! Lindyx
