Default How do you tame a case of the munchies from HELL???

I'm having a bad case of the munchies this week that I just can't shake. I want crunchy stuff for some reason. I'm out of ideas on how to shake this. Anyone else have some ideas. It's making me nuts. (well, more nuts than I already am )

There is your answer - eat nuts. Even if you eat more than you should, its still protein. And they are crunchy and salty. Very good substitute for chips, if that is what you are craving

I had HUNGRY days, and I just ate. My Fitday would show 3000 calories that day, and the next day would be a 1000.

Fighting the hunger just makes it flare up worse. Space out the nuts by putting them over salads with lots of crunchy vegetables. There are sliced almonds with seasonings that are GREAT for salads.

That's what's great about Atkins. If you are hungry, EAT.

I drink a cup of green or chi tea as a substitute for snacking. It's quick to prepare, high in antioxidents, and relaxing. Studies seem to indicate that cocoa and cinnamon are also heathy additives so I sometimes add them to my caffine-free coffee.

Sunflower seeds are good for the crunchies. Plus you have to get the shell off first so you can't eat them as fast as other crunchy stuff.

Pork rinds - they come in ketchup, sour cream and bacon, ;plain, bbq and hot and spicy - they are crunchy and have enough fat to take away your cravings

FAT- eat something with a high fat content. I always find it helps satiate me and the cravings die down. Actually now that Ive upped my fat content to around 70%, I actually am craving fats, not sweets, which is HUGE for me. Best of luck!

soy nuts are super crunchy. They seem to fill the crunch craving for me. That or crunching on ice.

My sister pointed out that when I craved junk, I might be craving VITAMIN C (there are trace amts in pot chips), so I ate strawberries. Worked almost every time.

Make some crisps out of lc tortillas. Cut them in strips, drizzle butter over them and toss with splenda and cinnamon. Throw in the oven for about 8 minutes. These are great.
I'm going to try to figure out how to make these taste like Dorito's next.

Raw Almonds usually do it for me...they're filling and they also keep you regular! Salads also work for times when you need to just chew--I make sure to put a bunch of fresh cooked bacon on top.....Hang in there
