Default Percentages???

Is there a pie chart of percentages a person should try to aim for on a daily basis when LC'ing??? In regards to: Fat, carbs, protein etc.

Also, too much protein is not a good thing....so what is too much protein??? My carbs I have under control, that is the easy part for me...however, I am not sure if I have a good balance of fats and proteins?

If anyone can advise me or perhaps point me to the right direction to research it on my own, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks to everyone!!!

P.S. This place rocks!!!

hi bella -

nat pointed me in the direction on this site: http://www.users.voicenet.com/~petr...ss/ckdcalc.html

i did not use the site for exactly what it's for. it did, however, give me the gram count for protein that i needed. that is the guideline i use. i know, for me, if i have 122 grams of protein, at least 87 grams of fat, keep carbs below 30, then i'm giving my body everything it needs.
hope this help. remember, it's different for everyone.

Default Those Pesky Percentages

Hi, Bella!

Nat helped me out as well with these guidelines: 70% fats, 5% carbs, and the balance from protein.

I use FitDay *every day* to track my food intake, and the program does the math for me. (This is a good thing for someone who has trouble balancing her checkbook.) I don't sweat it if I'm off by a point or two, as long as I can see that on a weekly basis I'm pretty close to dead-on. FitDay helps there, too, with the reports it can generate from the info I input. I recommend it *very* highly.

I'm still amazed when at the end of the day I find that I need to eat MORE FAT!!!

Default Duh....

I neglected to include the URL for FitDay.

Oddly enough, it's www.fitday.com

Who'd'a thunk it, eh?
