Question does anyone know anything about quinoa and chick peas

This is my first day on the forum. When I was at the bulk food store they recommended Quinoa as high protein. He didn't know what the carb count is.Anyone familiar with this product? I thought we could eat things like chick peas, kidney beans etc. but when I look through the forum no one seems to have them in their daily diet. Info please
